Knitting: Baby Overalls

The knitting has been a bit slow lately. I suppose that should be expected with Summer nearby.

I wanted to share what's currently on the needles. I'll post more photos when I get further along.

I'm knitting some baby overalls for an unknown recipient. I guess whoever has their baby around the time these are completed will probably be the recipient. We'll see :)

This is my first clothing project that isn't completely rectangle. Wish me luck!

Specs:

Yarn: Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran in three colors
Needles: Size US 7 circular
Size: 3-6 Months

I'm diggin children's books

Having Miss Sydney running around the house allows me to indulge in wonderful children's books. These authors and artists have such a special talent. I encourage you all to check out the children's book section the next time you're in a book store, even if you don't have any kids of your own.

Here are a few of our favorites right now:

The Pigeon Series

Zoom (Picture Books)

Olivia

My Dog May Be a Genius

This Saturday: West Edge Chalk Walk

If you haven't been to the Chalk Walk, you're missing out. And the weather is supposed to be nice this weekend!

This Saturday from 11:00-4:00 in the West Edge neighborhood is the annual West Edge Chalk Walk. There's live music, chalk competitions for kids and adults, discounts at local stores, etc.
