Concert!

We went to see Erykah Badu & The Roots Thursday at Marymoor park in Redmond. Thankfully the rain held out for us and the bands. Would you believe that The Roots started EARLY?!? What band starts early?? The crowd had hardly arrived when they were leaving the stage..... not ideal.

Chris and I showed up early so we enjoyed everyone on stage. I can't say we'd go back to Marymoor for a concert again in the near future, but maybe for a different style of music. There's just too much room between the band and the crowd to get the adrenaline going between the two.

I'm OUT.....

We're going to see Erykah Badu & The Roots at Marymoor tonight.

And we're going on a great adventure this weekend. I'll fill you in when we get back. And I'll try not to forget my camera this time ;)

Enjoy the rain Seattle.

June, Rain, Mariners

So much for clam chowder. We ended up going to the Mariner's game last night. On our walk to the stadium, we got soaked! Why the heck does it have to rain so much in June?!? We were wet and cold and hungry and we turned into wimps. We left after the 4th inning to go home to a hot shower, some warm food, and cozy blankets. I started wishing I had made clam chowder instead.

We're going camping this weekend.... I'm going to hope and pray for a few rays of sun.

Ooo.... we're going to The Roots & Erykah Badu concert tomorrow at Marymoor. I'm going to hope it doesn't rain then either ;)

Peace.

My King

I was having a sorta crummy day yesterday and my love surprised me at home with steamed clams, bacon wrapped scallops and wine. mmmmHmmmm he's the best. Now it's time to make some clam chowder! I'll keep you posted on how that goes.

Enjoy your rainy Tuesday.

Pike Place Street Festival

It was a Birthday weekend and a Sydney weekend. My parents came over for dinner Saturday at Typhoon! (Our favorite little Thai restaurant on Western Ave & Union St.) We swung by the Pike Place Street Festival. It rained a bit on Saturday, but that didn't keep us from enjoying a fantastic pizza and some big ol' bubbles.
